Warwick Integration Summit 2014: Fostering a Sense of Belonging

The Integration Summit organised by the University of Warwick, Warwick SU, NUS and UKCISA is an excellent event for students, researchers and practitioners interested in promoting greater integration between home and international students. This year’s theme is ‘Fostering a sense of belonging’.

In its third year now, the 2014 Summit will see the launch of the Warwick/UKCISA publication on integration and our aim is to set up some communities of practice on the day of the Summit so that, working together, we can identify some of the some key questions coming from the publication that could be followed up on during the year and reported back on at the next summit. As usual, the event will showcase some of the exciting and innovative integration and internationalisation interventions that colleagues across the UK have put in place and how they have been able to measure their impact.

NUS Internationalisation awards 2014

Nominations are now open for the second NUS Internationalisation Awards. The awards aim to recognise the great work Institutions and Student’s Unions do to support and improve the international student experience. The deadline for applications is 5pm on Thursday 10 April 2014. The awards will be announced at this event. Award categories and how to enter can be found here.

Rates:

  • Cost for Students' Union delegates. A fee of £25.00 for Students' Union representatives and staff members.
  • Cost for University delegates. A fee of £85.00 for University delegates.
  • Special 'Collaborative' Offer. A joint fee of £85.00 for one University delegate and one SU delegate attending together from the same institution.

One of the key aims of this event is to encourage collaboration between institution staff and union officers and staff. We are therefore offering both a heavily discounted rate for students' union delegates, and also a price for institutional staff which automatically includes a free place for a representative from the students' union. For the inclusive rate, both delegates must be named on the registration form (name changes at a later stage are permitted, but must remain as separate representatives from both union and institution).

If you would like to attend please complete the booking form and email it to:training@ukcisa.org.uk
