UKCISA grants for pilot projects

One of UKCISA's key aims is to support members in providing the highest quality institutional support for international students and ensure international students in the UK have the best possible experience. The aims of this scheme are twofold:

  • Pilot Projects
To encourage innovation, and develop and disseminate examples of best practice in international student support
  • Research
To enhance our understanding of the needs and/or experience of international students studying in the UK

The UKCISA Grants Scheme for Pilot Projects aims to encourage innovation, and develop and disseminate examples of best practice in international student support. We provide grants of up to £2,000 for members.

The scheme started in 2015 and has run annually until 2018.  UKCISA paused the scheme in 2019-20 to assess the impact of the research already completed and to review how the scheme might continue in the future.  Due to the Coronavirus crisis, the scheme will not run in 2020-21. Instead we are looking at ways to support members and the sector in different ways.  We hope to re-launch the scheme in 2021.
