Understanding the visitor route and study

We invite you to join two members of UKCISA’s Advice and Training team in a 2.5 hour participative online session.

This session is aimed at delegates who have some basic knowledge of the visitor route and want to further understand the Rules and guidance relating to study options within the route. The session will also consider the application of these Rules and guidance in case studies.

Aim and objectives:

This webinar will help you to become familiar with the visitor route and the options for study within the route. In order to achieve this aim, we will:

  • identify the key resources for the visitor route eg the relevant Rules and guidance
  • know what type of study is permitted under the visitor route
  • identify who is eligible to apply under the visitor route, what they need in order to apply and the evidence they need to show if they are using the route to study

We will not have time to discuss areas of immigration law other than the visit route. This means we will not be considering any other immigration routes, such as Student, Child Student and Short-term student. These areas are covered in detail in other UKCISA courses or in our manual.

To support this course we will be introducing the use of Padlet for delegates to access and use. Padlet is an online collaboration tool, much like an online notice board, where tutors and delegates can post text, video files, images etc.

Tutors will use this space to share slides that support our online training, provide a networking space for delegates who attend the training and to follow-up on any questions that tutors take away during the training.

We look forward to using this as an additional way to engage with our attendees, and we encourage you to use this to connect with other UKCISA members. Further information on how to use Padlet will be provided alongside the joining instructions to this training.
