The Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner (OISC) rebrands to the Immigration Advice Authority (IAA)

16 January 2025

The Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner (OISC) is undergoing a name change. From 16 January 2025, the OISC will now be known as the Immigration Advice Authority (IAA).

This means that you’ll see some changes across the UKCISA site, as we update the logo and name on all our materials. There are however no changes to our services or how we are regulated. UKCISA's Advice and Training team will continue to be registered with the IAA for their provision of immigration advice.

The IAA has advised that no further changes will be made to the Code of Standards that was recently updated in September 2024. A new version will soon be published however, with an updated name and logo.

On the reasoning for the rebrand, the IAA has said as follows:

“Our new brand identity will reflect our bolder, more ambitious plans, add clarity to who we are, and demonstrate our threefold approach as an organisation that achieves its mission through regulation, enforcement and promoting best practice”

“The rebrand will make our services easier to access and understand, with an improved website, clearer communications, and user-friendly tools to enhance the experience for immigration advisers and advice seekers.”

In-line with the rebrand, a new website address of gov.uk/iaa will also be available from 16 January 2025. Although the old website address will redirect for a short period of time, it is important to make a note of the new website address, and bookmark this instead.

Organisations will need to update their materials by 2 June 2025. We will shortly be updating UKCISA’s website and Manual with the details of these changes.
