Annual Conference 2018

The 2018 UKCISA Annual Conference  was an integral part of our 50th anniversary celebrations and took place at the University of Edinburgh between 27 – 29 June. We were joined by a (UKCISA) record-breaking 460 delegates, with more than 100 newcomers.

Professional development sessions and peer presentations covered immigration, compliance, student experience (including many of the UKCISA-funded grants and research) students and working, recruitment, and much more.  This was a fantastic opportunity to network during evening social events in particularly beautiful surroundings.

High profile and international speakers including John Swinney, Dr Esther Brimmer and Sir Ciarán Devane helped UKCISA and its members to celebrate 50 years of international education; reflecting on past challenges and highlighting opportunities for the future.

If you missed our conference or would just like to reflect on three days of activities, read our blogs, watch the footage from our brilliant UKCISA choir or take a look at the full list of sessions.

If you’re interested in taking part in our conference in 2019 at Keele University, find out about submitting a proposal. It will be held 3-5 July 2019.
