Findings from #WeAreInternational grants projects and research released

03 July 2024

In 2023, £28,000 in funding was awarded to eight innovative projects and research initiatives investigating how to deliver a world-class international student experience, from pre-arrival to post-graduation.

The #WeAreInternational Grants scheme focuses on integrating the principles of the #WeAreInternational Student Charter in higher and further education institutions in the UK. The applications that received funding showed innovation, addressed at least one principle of the #WeAreInternational Student Charter and embedded international students at the heart of the work.

From understanding the different experiences of students from Ukraine and Syria, to supporting international students and employers to work together, the reports deep dive into the projects. They share recommendations for the sector and detail how you too could try the ideas to support international students to have a positive experience studying in the UK from pre-arrival to post-graduation.

To help the sector engage in with the reports, we have also created one-page summaries detailing the highlights, outcomes and recommendations for each.

Read the summaries, deep dive reports and access the resources here.

A webinar will be held later in the summer to share learnings from the authors. Sign up to the UKCISA newsletter for more information.
