The #WeAreInternational Student Ambassador programme is UKCISA's student network of global future leaders. The programme empowers international students to be key partners in shaping a quality student experience, using their knowledge and first-hand experience of studying in the UK to influence policy, leading the #WeAreInternational campaign and developing an inclusive global student community.

Our student ambassadors are equipped with policy knowledge and leadership skills to enact change and forge a global network of international student leaders.

This is an exciting opportunity for any international student to:

  • Share your experiences of studying in the UK and represent international students on a national level at events, conferences, and high-level meetings.
  • Enhance your personal and professional development through training and mentoring in areas such as public speaking, leadership skills, and policy analysis.

Applications are open now and will close at 9:00 AM (UK time) on Monday 28 October 2024. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to online interviews from 13:00-17:00 (UK time) on Wednesday 27 November 2024.

International students are at the heart of everything we do at UKCISA. We are proud to work with and learn from our student ambassadors to help deliver our vision for a world-class international student experience.

"The #WeAreInternational programme has added significant meaning to my student experience in the UK. [It] has given me the platform to add value to current and prospective international students.

Through speaking engagements at various conferences across the country, I have also had the privilege of interacting with a diverse range of stakeholders in the higher education ecosystem and participating in honest discussions on ways to continually elevate the international student experience in the UK. I am eternally grateful for the time I have spent working with UKCISA."
