Version 11 of 'Who pays 'home' fees for HE in England?'

11 October 2024

A new version of UKCISA's pdf guide 'Who pays 'home' fees for higher education in England?' has been published. Please use version 11 from now on.

The only change is to the category for ‘Brexit protected rights: Child of a Turkish worker’ (on pages 98 and 99 of the pdf guide). An extra line has been added to the note about situations where a parent or student was unable to arrive in the UK in time for 31 December 2020:

"In all cases, you will need to provide evidence that the delay in arriving was due to Covid-19."

This reflects further information from the Government’s Department for Education about their Student Support Information Note ‘03/24 Delays in entering or returning to the UK due to Covid-19’.

Downloading the pdf guide

Version 11 (dated 11 October 2024) contains no new information compared to version 10 (dated 4 June 2024), apart from the one change described above.

Please use version 11 of the pdf guide from now on.

Students can download version 11 of the pdf guide ('Who pays 'home' fees for HE in England?') from the UKCISA website. UKCISA members will probably prefer to use the member copy of version 11 - it can be downloaded by UKCISA members from section 2.5 of the fees section of the UKCISA online manual (look in the Resources box at the bottom of the page). It includes useful additional footnotes.

As explained at the beginning of the pdf, it is a 'living' document and readers should expect to see it develop over time. Please always use only the most recent version.
